Fuzzzy Pledge — Terms of Use

These terms are between you and Fuzzy Core LLC ("we") for the Fuzzzy Pledge app. On iPhone, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies; where they differ on the licence itself, Apple's agreement wins.

What the app does

Fuzzzy Pledge lets you make a pledge to yourself: it blocks adult and gambling websites and apps you choose on your own phone, behind three to five reasons you write. To unlock, you retype every reason.

Limits of the protection

The protection is friction, not an unbreakable lock. Encrypted DNS in a browser, another VPN, direct addresses, cached pages, removing permissions, changing settings or deleting the app can get around it. On iPhone it depends on Apple's Screen Time. The app is not a medical or psychological treatment; if gambling or pornography is hurting you, please also seek professional help.

Plans

Starting a new pledge needs an active plan. Unlocking is always free and never needs a plan or a connection. A pledge that is already on stays on when a plan ends.

iPhone: monthly (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers) or yearly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your currency.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
  • A plan renews automatically at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • When the free trial ends, the monthly plan starts and is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period stays active until it ends.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules (https://reportaproblem.apple.com).
  • Restore purchases in the app brings back a plan bought with the same Apple ID, also on a new phone.
  • Android (on our website): a 1-month or 1-year pass, paid once through PayPal. It does not renew by itself. The price is shown on the payment page before you pay. Buying again adds the new pass after the current one. To keep a pass when you change phones or reinstall, save the recovery code the app offers; entering it moves the pass to the new phone, and anyone with the code can do the same, so keep it private. Without a saved code we may not be able to move a pass. For a refund, email contact@fuzzzycore.com; a refunded pass ends.
  • The app checks your plan with our server and can work offline for up to 7 days.

Fair use

Do not try to break, overload or copy the service, or to get a plan without paying.

Your data

Your reasons, your blocked sites and apps and your use of the phone stay on your phone. See the Privacy Policy (https://fuzzzycore.com/pledge/privacy).

Changes and availability

We may change, improve or stop features. If we stop the service, we will say so in the app or on our website in good time. Unlocking keeps working on the phone without our server. We do not promise the app will always be available or free of errors.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens when the protection is bypassed or fails, or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
